Hi folks! Wow! The 2016 tournament was a great success and a lot of fun. We raised more than $30,000 to buy shoes and clothes for children in the Santa Maria Valley. The generosity of our sponsors and our donors means that we can keep serving local students for another year.
I really want to thank our most dedicated tournament sponsors who helped us start our 2016 fundraising off on the right foot:
Fidelity National Title Central Coast
Allan Hancock College
FLIR Systems
Kate Ferguson with imortgage
More Office Solutions
PMSM Architects
Phillips 66
Student Transportation of America
I'd also like to thank two supporters who stepped up most generously to lead the Fund A Need donation drive during the dinner. We greatly appreciate the support of Raye Vega from CHAMPION Real Estate and Student Transportation of America, represented by Don Kissell.
Lastly, I need to specially recognize Altrusa International Foundation of Golden Valley for providing Shoes for Students with a $1,500 grant in 2016. The grant money will help us reach even more children in need.
Thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers and supporters who helped make the 2016 tournament and dinner fundraiser so successful. None of what Shoes for Students does would be possible without your help and commitment. Thank you for caring about the children in our community. We hope you join us again next year as we raise money to keep our important work moving forward.
